Paradiso Olivelli - 35 Store Street

35 Store Street, London, WC1E 7BS

Run by Sicilian brothers Giovanni and Salvatore Salamone, Paradiso Olivelli is a fun and friendly Italian restaurant that reflects much of the character and charm of the original Olivelli founded in 1934. Now with three outlets on Store Street, Christopher's Place and The Cut in the heart of Theatreland, each carry a distinctive personality and remain allied with their surroundings. Although they are best known for their pizza, their extensive menu packs in a punch with dishes like Sicilian meatballs and spaghetti in a pomodoro sauce, a recipe gleaned from a secret cookbook belonging to Salamone's mother, and the salmon fillet in a pink peppercorn sauce. To finish with some of the sweeter things in life there is torta Paradiso, a house speciality with sponge, flakes of chocolate, delicate chocolate mousse and ricotta mousse cooked in a thin layer of chocolate.

REVIEWS OF Paradiso Olivelli - 35 Store Street

Nadia (25 February 2005)

A favourite, excellent value, great pizza - nice olives on the table when you arrive. Staff are friendly, food is good - much nicer than eating in a chain restaurant where there is little atmosphere and the menus are boring! I would thoroughly recommend it!

Booboo (20 June 2004)

Best spaghetti bolognese I've ever tasted.
