Pasha Restaurant

This Upper Street address can be termed as the doyenne of warm hospitality in the Islington region and long before this restaurant came into existence in the early nineties, the venue was doing brisk business serving up some of the best fry-ups in North London. From a more austere look in the past, Pasha now dons a polished appearance with sections of red and gold textured wallpaper and cream walls.

The menu is an epic selection of Turkish delights from crispy courgette fritters served with mint yoghurt and spiced mackerel with white bean salad and black olive tapenade, to grilled dishes such as Pasha kofte and pirzola lamb chops. For fish lovers, there's baked sea bass, Moroccan spiced salmon and char-grilled fresh tuna, and those who save the best for the last could partake of a Turkish dessert plate with the indulgent baklava, vermicelli pastry and caramelised milk pudding with cinnamon ice cream.
