Pasta Brown - Bedford Street is a very friendly, well run restaurant with good food, mainly pizza and pasta, and pleasant service. Set in a relaxed and modern environment, they cater for all tastes and ages, so why not visit them, sit back and enjoy yourself. You may even get to meet a member of the charming Brown family, who have been serving the public for nearly fifty years!

You can indulge yourself in their great array of pasta dishes, well chosen wines and smooth vibes. Specialities range from seafood to vegetarian, chicken to meat dishes, ultimately ending with a selection of delicious desserts. Pasta Brown is also an ideal place for pre and post theatre dining in the heart of Theatreland.

Whilst they are happy to accomodate small group bookings, their Bow Street restaurant is better suited for larger bookings and has a private room which can take up to 50 people. Here are just a few dishes taken from their menu, mainly starters and pasta, but they also have a variety of pizzas and a good selection of grills.

Starters:

Funghi al prezzemolo e aglio - finest field mushrooms pan fried in garlic butter

Insalate tricolore - slices of avocado with plump buffalo mozzarella cheese and ripe tomatoes

Insalata creola - a warm salad of bacon and field mushrooms sautéed in garlic topped with avocado and served on a bed of spinach

Tonno e fagioli - simply tuna, cannelini beans, onions and peppers served with mixed leaves and in-house dressing

Bruschetta della casa - fresh grilled Mediterranean vegetables served on a hot garlic ciabatta with melted goat's cheese, with mixed leaves

Main Courses:

Penne boscaiola - bacon and chicken sautéed with garlic and basil in a creamy tomato sauce

Spaghetti pesto - fresh basil leaves combined with garlic, parmesan olive oil and pine nuts

Penne all'arrabiata - the hot one! Fresh garlic, chilli and parmesan in a Napoli sauce

Spaghetti frutti di mare - fresh mussels, king prawns and clams gently sautéed in a garlic and seafood bouillon served with napoli sauce

Specials:

Rib-eye steak - pan-fried and served with sautéed potatoes, field mushrooms and tomato

Pan-fried swordfish - topped with fresh grilled parmesan, served with new potatoes and mixed leaves

The Italian burger - a 'PB' favourite! homemade meatballs topped with grilled Mediterranean vegetables, sweet cure bacon and melted mozzarella all served on toasted garlic ciabatta, with sautéed potatoes and napoli dipping sauce
