Patara - Oxford Circus Description
Situated between Oxford and Regent Street on the smaller and lesser-known Maddox Street, you'll find a hip Thai restaurant called Patara. The décor is a minimalist's dream and the Thai chefs certainly know their stuff. Starters such as steamed dumplings or tuna tartare are followed by fragrant Thai curries with a modern twist such as using monkfish or lamb, rather than the classic chicken or beef combination. There's also an adventurous wild boar stir-fry that's different and definitely worth trying. Expect to pay around £11 for each main course, whilst desserts such as caramelised bananas are around £5-£6.

Have visited the restaurant for both lunch and dinner, eating both a la carte as well as specials, and enjoyed it immensely. The staff were very good only adding to the overall experience.

Have eaten at this restaurant many, many times and at every meal the food has been the same exceptional quality. I have been to many Thai restaurants in the City and West End and Patara is the best by far.
