Patterson's Description

Ever since they opened in 2003, the Patterson family have run their restaurant, tucked away in a side street in London's prestigious West End shopping district, with passion and pride. While Maria manages the front of house, the father and son team, Raymond and Tom, run a small brigade in the kitchen. The refined white-walled interior creates a muted yet relaxed atmosphere, which makes businessmen and social diners feel welcome.

A modern, sophisticated menu contains nods to the Scottish roots of the Pattersons and they go to great lengths to select the very best ingredients and, when possible, local and organic produce form the foundations of the menu. All the meat is purchased daily from the finest farms in England and Scotland. The chef remains true to his roots sourcing langoustine, lobster and crabs from his hometown in Eyemouth.

The restaurant seats eighty people in a stylishly relaxed, elegant setting. They also have a private room which can cater for twenty people at dinner and around thirty five people for a champagne reception. The lobster lunch, steamed sea bass and beef Rossini are popular choices with regular guests who also like to finish with the pineapple carpaccio and dome of dark chocolate mousse. The restaurant's warm service and weekly changing menus keeps them coming back.

Your Reviews of Patterson's

Deborah Moore (22 August 2006)

My partner and I had a gorgeous meal here, on a Saturday night, on a special weekend in London. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very laid back and relaxed. The Interior of the restaurant is modern minimalist.

We had champagne cocktails to start - definitely worth a try. We had all 3 courses. Starters - Lobster Salad - one of the specials and definitely worth that little bit extra. Main Course - Lamb in Filo Pastry - It was out of this world, perfectly presented and tasted beautiful. Dessert - Chocolate and Coffee Gateau - Again, absolutely gorgeous! The Wine Menu is quite extensive, there is something for everyone.

Overall the food was superb! The staff are very friendly, helpful& attentive. Your glass never becomes empty! I would definitely give this restaurant 10/10 for all aspects - even the Ladies Room! A very special meal for a very special weekend, and worth every penny, we will be back!
