Pearson's Arms, The

We went to Pearsons on Saturday afternoon during the oyster festival did not think we would get in but the manager found us a table, she told us she would need it free by 7pm, which was not a problem as it was only 4pm. We were given menus straightaway and asked if we wanted pre dinner drinks, we asked for the wine list and a jug of tap water, which arrived with ice and lemon - very welcome in the hot weather. We decided to share the seafood platter and it was a great decision - a lovely big fresh crab, six oysters, six king prawns, rollmops, cockle, whelks, prawns, all served with garlic mayo, mayonnaise and marie rose along with a very generous portion of fresh bread, it was delicious and a lovely bottle of white burgundy went down a treat. The service was superb nothing to much trouble and all done with a smile. This was our first visit to Pearsons, we normally head elsewhere but from now on it Pearsons for us.

We have eaten there several times in the last year. The young Head Chef cooks amazing food and we would definitely recommend this place. We'd like to thank all of you for amazing us on our every visit.
