Having read the reviews on this restaurant we decided to give it a try. There is very little more that I can say than wow! On arrival we were greeted and welcomed into one of the nicest restaurants we have visited. We sat at a lovely table in the 'garden room'. All the dishes were presented to us at the table and described in great detail by the pleasant young staff who were knowledgeable. Every dish we chose was an absolute delight; it was hot, well presented and absolutely delicious. The sweets were out of this world, we have never seen such a huge choice, I think we counted eight! The only concern was getting through the whole seven courses, but we managed it. We will not hesitate to go again. This will be our preferred restaurant.

I visited Pecks with my wife for the first time after hearing a lot about it over the years. I have never been sure that the unusual to me format of seven courses; all sitting down together was for me, so we ‘tested the waters’ with a Sunday lunchtime visit. I couldn’t fault a thing. The place is beautifully presented, I assume recently decorated. The members of staff were excellent and most importantly the food was beautiful. My wife was of the same opinion and having taken six years of living locally to try this place for the first time, we will not be waiting as long again until we return. I am certainly tempted to give the full seven courses a go next time. If you have thought about going and so far resisted like I had, give it a go, like us, you just might love it.
