Pepe Sale Description
Pepe Sale is an award winning Italian restaurant situated in the heart of Reading, near the Hexagon Theatre. They offer delicious modern Italian cuisine, and introduce customers to many of the gastronomic delights of Sardinia.
Specialities like spaghetti alla bottarga, made of cured grey mullet roe, sea bass baked in a crust of salt, and the house speciality of slow roasted suckling piglet, along with Sardinian wines, offer the best from the island that is available. Diners who wish to have bread with their meal can order the typical, thin and crispy pane carasatu, served with extra virgin olive oil and fresh rosemary.
They also have a set lunch and pre-theatre menu as well as daily specials. Parties for all occasions are catered for up to ninety people. Pepe Sale hosts regular live music evenings that provide great fun with the local jump, jive and swing band, the 'Ding Dong Daddios'.

It is the best Italian / Sardinian restaurant without a doubt. The staff are amazing in their knowledge of products and the friendliness is better than I get at home. Clean and neatly furnished, it has superb crockery and glasses. The only complaint would be the lack of seating prior to being escorted to your table. Apart from that, a dining treat not to be missed.

Wow, this little place is fabulous. Our second visit there and we have actually walked it past umpteen times without a glance. Thank goodness we found it through friends. It’s like being on holiday, a completely relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were amazing and the food was fabulous, try the suckling pig or the sea bass they were out of this world. Keep up the good work> We'll be back in October as this has become our favourite place and a visit once a month is a must.
