We called into Pescadou's Restaurant on the off chance at lunchtime on 6th April. The restaurant was relatively busy but a lady came to greet us almost immediately and within five minutes came back to take us to our table. The waiter came over within a few minutes to take our order and spent a considerable amount of time discussing the different wines with my husband. The food came within ten minutes and the waiter came back again to see what my husband thought of the wine he had chosen. I would like to add that we weren't spending vast fortunes of money but we were treated as if we were special and the meal itself as well as the staff was excellent.

I was distressed to see an adverse report on Pescadou appear at the top of the list. Unless things have changed dramatically in recent months, we have always found the food at Pescadou to be excellent and the service friendly and efficient. We have returned to Pescadou for a birthday meal each year for the last ten-plus years, and have never been anything less than delighted with the place - hence our revisits. We're sorry the lady had a bad time there. All I can say is that, from our experience, this is far from typical.
