Peyton Arms Description
Here's a rather unusual survival that will bring the smiles to the faces of those for whom nouvelle cuisine is an unpalatable and over-fussed irrelevance. Nor does the menu require too much cerebral pressure though a certain familiarity with the frying pan and such menu items as prawn cocktail and sausage and chips would get you off to a head start. There are two bars. The front snug is served by a hatch, the small public bar provides the rest and the beer (Hook Norton, by the way) is well kept and straight out of the cask. The rest, as they say, is history.
