There is much to recommend about this genuine, friendly Italian restaurant, located in the charming village of Tolleshunt D'Arcy; particularly the fact that it is real Italians that prepare and cook all the dishes, providing diversity, imagination and authenticity.

The menu choice is quite extensive; there is the a la carte, a mid week menu plus the specials board, which is changed on a daily basis. An example of a favoured starter is funghi al forno, baked mushrooms with dolcelatte cheese baked in the oven, and with mains a choice of three great veal dishes, the well known Italian speciality scallopini ai funghi, served in a creamy mushroom sauce, or saltimbocca alla romana, with Parma ham and a white wine sauce, and finally milanese, served with spaghetti or vegetables.

But you will also find that lamb cutlets, duck, chicken, prime fillet steak, and, naturally, a wide variety of pasta and pizzas are also featured; while their fish selection is displayed on the specials board, and do note that every Friday is fish night. The ingredients are sourced locally and are selected according to the season.

It is difficult to give an average cost, and the one that we have given is for a full meal, however, their many fixed price offerings could reduce that figure substantially, as would sticking to just pizza or pasta.
