Pierre Victoire
18 Eyre Place, Edinburgh, EH3 5EU
Home to the very first branch of the once ubiquitous Pierre Victoire chain of bistros, Chef Pierre Levicky returned to his adopted hometown of Edinburgh to resurrect the Pierre Victoire name with a new restaurant on Eyre Place. Serving a familiar range of affordable and delectable European cuisine, traditionally prepared from local ingredients, the restaurant is housed in a small yet cosy building with relaxed and homely interiors. The rustic ambience is also retained with wooden tables and chairs, candles in wine bottles, and an occasional pianist to the corner. The modern French menu is varied and diverse, served in generous proportions. Using organically prepared ingredients, the a la carte menu includes starters of smoked ham and foie gras terrine with montbazillac wine jelly, fresh oysters on ice with lemon and grilled mussels in garlic and Pernod butter.Home to the very first branch of the once ubiquitous Pierre Victoire chain of bistros, Chef Pierre Levicky returned to his adopted hometown of Edinburgh to resurrect the Pierre Victoire name with a new restaurant on Eyre Place.
