Pinocchio Description
Pinnochio is a very popular, reasonably priced Italian restaurant, which is highly favoured by theatre-goers due to its close proximity to the Theatre Royal, Brighton.
They offer some extremely good deals, with a two course lunch for only £5.95, except on a Saturday, and three courses for a mere two pounds extra; for dinner they have the same deal, but as well they have their very special three course menu for £13.95, which is one pound more for dinner on a Saturday, while the normal three course menu is £10.95 on Saturday evening, both after 6.30 pm.
Their menu is wide ranging, with a choice of pizzas, like their speciality Pinocchio with tomato, mozzarella cheese, sausage, olives, mushroom, artichokes, prawns, peppers and anchovies, or pasta such as fusilli alla diavola, tomato, spicy sausage, black olives, garlic and cream or tagliatelli alla salmone, with cream, smoked salmon and tomato.
Delicious starters could include Parma ham with melon or avocado; grilled sardines or mussels in tomato, garlic and parsley, followed by main courses such as breast of chicken in a garlic, mushroom and white wine sauce; veal escalope alla Milanese, fried in breadcrumbs and served with spaghetti pomodoro or monkfish fillets cooked in an extra virgin olive oil, garlic, tomato, white wine and parsley sauce.

Your Reviews of Pinocchio

I do not agree with the negative reviews. I went there on my hen weekend with seven of my friends and had a fantastic meal. The staff were so friendly and I now can't wait for the wedding on the 19th of July, which is a Saturday!
Nikki Kulin (22 December 2005)
My first experience of Pinocchio - following a recommendation - was dreadful. The place was packed - there were not enough staff and the staff there were appeared stressed and unable to cope. The result was a rushed meal which was very bad value for money. I ordered king prawns in a garlic type sauce expecting the king prawns to come in their shells - instead they were the tiniest prawns I have ever seen - just five of them spread over the plate in the sauce and for £12.95! Absolutely dreadful - don't bother - there are too many other good places to eat in Brighton.
