Pipe & Slippers, The

The Pipe & Slippers opened in July 2004 and swiftly became a hit with the locals, also getting itself noticed by both Venue magazine and the Bristol Evening Post, who then bestowed upon it their coveted 'pub of the year' title 2004 and 2005.

The pub combines the cosy feel of a traditional pub with the quality of service and drinks of a modern style bar. With continental lager and wheatbeer on draught, local ales from Bristol Beer Factory and traditional cider from Westons, you don't feel like you have to order one of their excellent bespoke cocktails, but you always have the choice.

Food is simple but good, with pie and mash lovingly prepared by Pie Minister pies and a selection of Portuguese tapas from a local chef. You can, if it floats your boat, be treated to a showcase of Bristol's finest DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.
