Pizza Organic - Warwick Description
Pizza Organic serves wholesome food, grown without using fertiliser, at competitive prices in a relaxing atmosphere. Their outlets are decorated in natural textures and shades and what's more, even the menu is printed on paper from sustainable, well-managed forests.
Anyone wanting to describe a particular dish as organic needs to ensure that the ingredients all come from sources accredited by the Soil Association, and all Pizza Organic branches are recognised. Although modern presentation is key to the eatery's success, their belief lies in following the traditional method of stone baking pizzas, just the way they have been, for ages.
Why not begin your meal in suitable style with the spinach and ham platter or the sardines with lemon and mixed greens? There are also starters such as bruschetta al pomodoro, cherry and sun dried tomatoes on grilled ciabatta bread, drizzled with pesto, for the vegetarians.
They offer a good variety of pizzas, from Margherita through to verde, made with such delights as broccoli, courgette, avocado, peas, pine nuts and kidney beans with natural yoghurt and cucumber sauce. Whilst, if you are fancying something really inventive, go for the topping of lobster and lime served with crayfish, capers, red Leicester and mozzarella mix, sprinkled with coriander and spring onion on a sweet chilli and tomato base.
The calzone, a stuffed version, folded over and baked like a Cornish pasty, offers the Bolognese with meatballs and smoked Ardennes ham. If you like something hotter, the carnevale al forno with chicken, pepperoni and hot chillies, and polpette arrabbiata, penne with meatballs in tomato sauce are good choices.
A diverse list of beer, wine and liquer support the hot and soft beverages are available. Their impressive list of desserts includes almond and Belgian chocolate cake and baked lemon cheesecake.
Your Reviews of Pizza Organic - Warwick
Kate (29 March 2004)
I ate here on Saturday night and I must say I was disappointed. I had been previously when the restaurant was still Pollo, and thought I’d return with my family now it is "Pizza Organic".
The food was generally very nice, although the service was terrible. When we ordered drinks the wine glasses were taken away to be replaced with beer glasses, which didn't arrive until we got up and asked for them again, the vegetarian and meat lasagnes were given the wrong way around (not good for the vegetarian in our group), the waiter just stood at the end of the table and made us pass all the food down to those at the other end, rather than walking around.
The 10% service charge was automatically added on to your bill therefore giving you no chance to show your appreciation or otherwise of the service. A shame that such nice food was ruined by the waiter.
