PJ's India Description
What used to be a garage is now a contemporary and spacious two-floor restaurant called PJ's India. Formerly called Panjea, the dining destination is situated in Charing Cross, Glasgow, and decorated in attractive lightwood and chrome.
Chef PJ and team create a range of classic dishes, served through á la carte menus and buffet meals. Expect to find starters of crab Malabar, kebabs, dosa pancakes, and a selection of fried meat and seafood pakoras. The much loved tandoori creations are served with basmati rice, salad and minted yoghurt or Indian gravy sauce.
Mains range from baked chicken apricot, a lovely steamed fish banana, and south Indian garlic chilli chicken, to the popular balti, karahi, jalfrezi, Mughlai, and Kashmiri curries. PJ's classics include patia, dhansak, popiaza, rogan josh and bhuna sauces, available with prawns, lamb, salmon, or chicken. The thalis are a great way to sample assorted specialities in small bowls on a round tray. A small list of European dishes is also served.
PJ's caters for parties and organises popular events such as curry and karaoke nights.

Your Reviews of PJ's India
Food_couture (2 July 2009)
Upon arriving at PJ's India I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Despite the simplicity of the restaurant's outer decor, inside it was most extravagant: fresh flowers on each table, candles, a unique take on napkins, wonderful artwork on the walls and a really relaxed, jovial atmosphere. The food was sumptuous, vibrant Indian flavours combined with chef's special mixture of sauces were most pleasing to the taste-buds. In particular the chicken tawa with chilli and garlic stood out. This tender dish spiced beautifully with a range of not too piquant spices was mouth-watering. The tandoori salmon was also exceptional. This fresh fish dish fused with mint, yoghurt and masala was most original and delectable. The dish was definitely memorable and I would highly recommend both to lovers of Indian cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at PJ's India and hope to return very soon.
