Place at The Beach, The Description

The seasonal menu appeals to customers who like uncomplicated and wholesome food. It is not surprising that The Place is featured in the Michelin Guide. Fresh fish is sourced from nearby Hastings, one of the oldest fisheries in Britain.

Proceedings could commence with grilled fresh Rye bay scallops and bacon or a salmon terrine. For mains, keep an eye open for fresh mussels with wine, shallots and parsley, and lamb chops with rosemary butter and cous cous salad. The wines include producers from Sussex and Kent as well as choices from Europe, South America, South Africa and Australasia.
