Given the great British obsession with Indian cuisine it is refreshing to find such a fine example of the genre within easy reach of the capital city. Presentation and setting are of a high standard.

Some real rarities are on offer, including Ros-Tos-Crab, fresh white crab meat cooked with spices in white wine and mango juice topped with cheese and served in a shell Raj style. Beef Xacuti, a regional dish made with chunks of prime steak in a classic full flavoured spicy curry, contains roasted star aniseed, javranti and fenugreek seeds, special Goan red chillies, coconut and cinnamon.

There is a wonderful selection of breads and desserts including Viceroy's banana pie. For those who follow the traditional path Kingfisher Premium lager awaits.
