The Plateau restaurant sits in a prime fourth floor location on top of Canada Place building opposite Canary Wharf tower. The stylish, futuristic restaurant looks out on awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding city landscape and offers two distinct dining areas and a semi-open view kitchen. A principal feature of the place is the part glazed ceiling which swathes the space in reflected natural light.

Head Chef Allan Pickett's food is modern French at its best: diver caught scallop and prawn roulade, black sesame seed and celeriac puree to start, while roast fillet of 21 day aged beef, fondant potato, confit garlic and pot roast duck breast, bitter cherries with slow braised endives as a main show how Allan creates exciting, unexpected combinations of fresh, natural produce. The tasting menu is extremely popular, each dish with its own wine pairing, and there's a separate carte for vegetarians as well.

It attracts a daytime business crowd but when the lights dim, local Canary Wharf dwellers flock to the restaurant for some delicious food and stunning night time views. There are also two al fresco terraces which can be hired out for a drinks reception and due to its proximity to the O2 Arena and Excel Centre, it's only fitting that you celebrate the evening with a meal at Plateau before or after the event.
