Less than a hundred yards from Fargate's shopping area, Leopold Square is home to some of the city's choicest restaurants and amongst these is Platillos. Split across two floors, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal yet the décor is stylish and modern with brick walls - one of which is covered with a collage of photographs of people enjoying a stone fronted bar, milky hanging lights and comfortable seating.

The menu is geared towards Mediterranean and Latin American cuisines and you could start with either a meat mezze plate having roasted aubergine dip, hummus, tzatziki, olives, falafel, bread, oil, meatballs and chorizo or with little green peppers seared in olive oil and sea salt. Apart from mains such as pan fried sea bass, lamb tagine and char-grilled chicken, a selection of lunchtime sandwiches, burgers and fixed price tapas are also available. Tasty desserts provide an ideal finish to the meal, and they also have several drink offers throughout the week.
