Plough Restaurant & Hotel, The Description

A glorious Elizabethan manor house on the edge of the Cotswolds, not widely known but cherished by those who do. The cooking is a blend of French and English which works to good effect and produces such dishes as duck and wild mushroom pate with red onion marmalade and continental leaves, a fillet of Aberdeen Angus beef with fresh tagliatelle and a green peppercorn sauce, and creme brulee with tiny figs marinated in rum. The wine list does not let the side down at all and house wine is at £11.75.
