A sumptuous dinner could begin with starters of warm potted Morecombe Bay shrimp on toast with confit tomatoes or cream of sweet corn with fresh langoustines and chilli. Follow with delicious house speciality such as locally reared Cheshire beef fillet with celeriac purée, roasted beetroot and a potted beef Scotch egg, or honey roasted Lancashire duck breast with confit potato, butternut squash, roast fig and sage fritters. The menu also offers a delicious take on 'surf and turf' of fillet of Cheshire beef and grilled lobster for two. Lunch here could include braised beef bourguignon with herb dumplings and roast potatoes or pan fried supreme of chicken filled with mozzarella and basil on Italian new potatoes. Finally, pudding of dark chocolate delice with peanut ice cream and hazelnut brittle or iced tiramisu with cappuccino of mascarpone pampers the sweet tooth.
