Porchai is simple, authentic Thai cuisine at its best, a fusion of distinct tastes that comes from dishes prepared in an uncomplicated manner. At times, it might seem just a matter of assembling the right ingredients but the end result leaves no doubt in your mind that even putting them together with the correct touch requires an effortless skill, something which their chefs possess in great quantities.

Appetizers might include fried shrimp in yellow noodles served with homemade sweet and sour chilli sauce, or the tom kha soup with chicken, coconut milk, galangal, cilantro, lime juice and fresh chilli could also set the culinary wheels in motion. Some of their signature entrées include a spicy and crispy fish fillet sautéed with kaffir lime leaves, red pepper, green beans and rhizome in red chilli paste. The liquor scene is strictly BYOB so you might have to settle for iced teas or coffees to cool off, or of course bring something suitable to drink on your own.
