Positano has to easily be one of the best Italian restaurants in Edinburgh - great food, cooked in the open kitchen gives an idea of real Italian cooking. The menu is excellent and the pizzas and pastas are straight from the south of Italy, but the best thing about the place is the staff. The owner walks around, chatting to couples and families, shouting out orders in Italian to the cooks, who chat back. You get a real sense of Latin spirit and it’s easy on the wallet too. I've been going back ever since my first amazing experience.

In the end of April 2009 we were in Edinburgh and we had the good fortune to eat at the restaurant Positano. We ate well, it was all at affordable prices and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
