A group of seven hungry Canadian duathletes descended on this restaurant, the night before the World Duathlon Championship. They squeezed us in on a very busy evening - big groups, families and couples. Atmosphere was lively and convivial; some might consider it noisy. We loved the bustling atmosphere with Italian waiters and chefs calling to each other. The food was typical authentic Italian pizza, with great thin base, focaccia bread with olive oil and rosemary. Among others there were many varieties of cream -based-sauce pastas, veal, beef, chicken piatti principale. They have a reasonable wine list. The portions are filled our hungry tummies with reasonable prices though I have no comparison to other dining out in Edinburgh. The service is brisk, friendly, and attentive despite the rush on the staff. We phone-ordered for a quattro stagioni pizza to takeaway at 7.5GBP the next day which was ready in 10 mins, 12’ pizza, thin light crust with chewy texture in the middle and crispy on the edge. There were chunks of artichoke, sliced mushrooms, tons of black olives and a big slice of prosciutto. Delishious!

My boyfriend, who was an Italian chef, and I eat here regularly and we both highly recommend this place, the pizza's are authentic and the pasta dishes a taste of Italy. Even for those of us who prefer not to eat meat, you will find them very accommodating. Enjoy!
