Preem Restaurant

We were persuaded by the 'Curry Chef of the Year Award' banner outside the restaurant, along with the acceptance of debit cards. Unfortunately there are not many favourable things I can say about the experience. It was a Friday evening. The couple that were seated behind us after we arrived were served before us. We waited half-an-hour for the food, and had to ask the waiter where it was. When it arrived, it was tasteless, not enjoyable at all. I could barely eat any of it. We informed the waiter who offered to replace the food but we asked for the bill instead. When the bill was brought over, they had charged us for everything barring a £6 discount. This was not enough to cover all the dishes we hadn't eaten. When we asked for the dishes to be removed from the bill, the waiter refused and said we couldn't as we hadn't alerted them immediately! The waiting staff became very aggressive towards us. Eventually they agreed to mark the bill down further, but then tried to charge us a tip! When we asked for this to be removed, they said that service charge wasn't optional. All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience. I have had takeaways that were much better than this.

It was a very bland and uninteresting meal; surprisingly packed out last Saturday night considering the food was so sub standard. I could not recommend one dish out of the eight we had, the only thing good was the lime pickle, which was exceptional. Don't go there as there are much better places to eat nearby.
