Pretty Orchid Description

Well established in the city centre this busy Thai has tremendous atmosphere and is always busy. A recent addition is the Art Gallery showing paintings by resident artist and chef C.Y. Choong. The range of dishes is fairly standard and there is usually a selection of specials from which to choose as well. The vegetarian and vegan selection is not to be lightly ignored either, while there is a great choice of seafood and an extensive wine list. Not exactly cheap, but, in a city where choices are reasonably plentiful, Pretty Orchid is up at the head of the field. At lunchtime their fixed price Malaysian two course meal offers tremendous value.

The décor is quite nice, the only problem being a group of annoying people not trying to hide their conversations. Perhaps we were unlucky that night. The food was delicate in preparation but way too sweet for my taste so a bit overpriced as a result.
