Prime Cuts - Steak and Lobster House, The Description

Aberdeen is the the home of Aberdeen Angus, hence at Prime Cuts you get the very best that they can find, dry aged for a minimum of 28 days; consequently, they state that they don't have steak knives as the meat is so tender and rich that they're not required! Plus they are by the North Sea, where arguably you find the best lobster in the world, put the two together and that's what they do best at Prime Cuts.

Naturally their menu is not exclusively steak and lobster, as Head Chef, Brian Mutch, a local boy, is a wiz at concocting exquisite examples of Scottish cuisine at its best, using venison, pheasant, corn fed local chicken stuffed with haggis, and all this changes regularly to reflect the season.

Put this together in a warm, comfortable environment dominated by terracotta, leather and wood, where they provide unpretentious, yet well appointed, service - you could also have their Wine Steward assist you in choosing wines that will best complement your meal - and then you realise that their simple aim is to give you an unforgettable evening.

Your Reviews of Prime Cuts - Steak and Lobster House, The

PK (11 July 2008)

I dined in Prime Cuts in April with two of my mates and ordered the lamb and I had been asked how I would like it cooked? I wanted it well done but didn't get it as per my requirement. I had to wait for ten minutes to get it redone even though the place was not busy at all. The sweets were fine apart from the piece of plastic in my mate's chocolate terrine. They add a ten percent service charge to your bill although the menu says that the service charge is optional.

SMc (18 May 2008)

We paid £80 pounds for a couple of steaks and glasses of wine. The steak was good, although they managed to mix up the cooking of our steaks and the restaurant wasn't even busy as it was a Monday. The side orders tasted like frozen ready-to-eat dishes. The service was slow and not particularly friendly. It was a completely overpriced experience.
