Prince Albert Bar & Restaurant, The

The Prince Albert Bar and Restaurant began welcoming customers in 1843, but, since 2007, it has taken on a more refined role and is carrying out what it is for ages, but with more elegance and style. Situated in Camden within easy reach of both Central London and the City, the venue is suitable for occasions that could range from an intimate meal to a private party.

The menu focuses on British cuisine with a selection of simple but well-created dishes and bar snacks that could include homemade pork scratchings or hummus and dips; with salads, sandwiches and lighter mains at lunchtime, and choices at dinner such as salt and peppered crispy Cornish squid served with sweet chilli sauce; honey roast ham, wild mushrooms and fried duck egg on toast, and venison pavé steak, pearl onions, smoked bacon, spinach and red wine jus.

Desserts take in hot chocolate mi-cuit with sweet butter shortbread or apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream. Carefully chosen wines and beer complete the picture.
