Indian style, cuisine and hospitality takes on a fresh approach at this exciting destination. Having chosen Birmingham as the host city, the owners, who had been influenced by their International travels, took up the challenge to create a unique island of culinary sophistication that would stand out in the city's flourishing restaurant scene. Rich without being garish, friendly but not intrusive, this venue provides the perfect ambience in which to taste the unique flavours from India. Paneer, the famous Indian cottage cheese, is available in various forms including one in which it is marinated in a spinach puree, skewered with colourful peppers and onions and chargrilled in the tandoor. The Pushkar panorama provides guests an opportunity to sample six appetizers, while the kabab platter, by itself, could satisfy the appetite of two guests.
The collection of pre-dinner cocktails and the extensive wine list complement this exemplary take on traditional cooking.

REVIEWS OF Pushkar
Jay (17 June 2010)
My partner and I dined at Pushkar for the third time on Monday. The food was as exquisite as the previous times. For starters we had mahi amritsari, the fish was fresh and juicy with an incredible, delicate use of spices. For mains I had a murgh korma and the taste was so good that it defies description. For over forty years I have enjoyed Indian cuisine but I have never encountered a korma that was as good as this. It was creamy with delicate aromatic spices that made every mouthful a sheer delight. My partner had the patialashahi gosht - the menu stated that the recipe came from royal kitchens. This was also superbly cooked and flavoured lamb from the Pushkar kitchens could confidently be put before royalty. All this delicious food was served in a sophisticated ambiance by friendly and helpful staff at a price that was not prohibitive. Needless to say we will be dining there again in the near future.

Pushkar is a classy looking friendly restaurant which I highly recommend. I have held many business dinners there and also took my wife there for a Valentines dinner. Service is always excellent, even on Valentines weekend when the restaurant was very busy we still received great service. The food is very impressive with many choices to ‘wow’ my clients with. Pushkar is definitely one to try if you haven’t done yet.
