Queens Arms, The

The Queens Arms is a genuine village pub situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside, where they serve good local, seasonal food cooked to order alongside a selection of ales, ciders and great glugging wines. Located in the sleepy village of Pitminster, at the foot of the Blackdown Hills, the Queens Arms combines the traditional warm welcome of an English country pub with continental style.

Their fish is delivered daily from Brixham and the meat, game and vegetables are all from Somerset. So expect to find smoked chicken and baby vegetable terrine, local game pie, with chunks of venison, rabbit and hare, slowly cooked in red wine and button mushrooms, and chocolate roulade filled with chocolate mousse and Chantilly cream.

They have a selection of ales and ciders from the South West and a good choice of wines from award winning wine merchant, Christopher Piper Wines. With its oak and slate floors and roaring winter log fires, the Queens Arms is a thoroughly delightful place to meet, eat and drink.
