Unassuming or unpretentious, call it what you will, Rajput is one of those restaurants that relies on its superior culinary skills to draw a crowd within their doors. Located in Harrogate, they had a rather humble start, but undeterred, they have captured the soul of Indian cooking and today their establishment is a well known destination for those with a hankering for some great Indian food.

Run by Perveen Khan and her son Shaan, with front of house managed by her other sons, Rajput gives a new dimension to the 'family business' angle. The 'X' factor that sets apart Rajput from other Indians is their adherence to traditional recipes while still giving a wide enough berth to allow for some experimentation. Using only the freshest of ingredients, be it meat, seafood or vegetarian, they concentrate on bringing out the true regional flavours of Rajasthan, Goa, South India, Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai.
