Raptures Description
Chef owner, Donald Davidson, specialises in Scottish cuisine with a Mediterranean flair and an occasional oriental twist, he offers a daily changing, table d'hote dinner menu, which includes canapés on arrival followed by home made bread and finishes with fresh filtered coffee and petits fours.
The restaurant has a stunning bay side location, and is not licensed so you bring your own, there is no corkage charge. Bookings are essential as this popular, small, intimate dining room seats a maximum of just twelve diners, it can also be taken for private dining for parties of seven or more.

I can add little to the already expressed views of the wonderful location. The surprising décor is much appreciated - unexpectedly modernist. Considerable attention has gone into the whole presentation. We enjoyed our meal and will certainly go again on our next visit. I would like Donald to experiment further, perhaps with sauces to further compliment the main course.

This is a very special place for a meal with a sensational view of the harbour. The food is wonderful and is recommended to those who enjoy an excellently prepared meal. Ours was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented - it was simply special. Just one thing to consider – it’s a very small restaurant with bare floors that could do with some form of carpet or sound absorber as conversations tend to spontaneously rebound around the room, which is otherwise very pleasant to eat in and beautifully decorated. Overall it is a place to treat yourself to a very special meal.
