A short but tempting choice of mains has baked brill fillets, chive mash, tiger prawns, spinach, and parsley sauce; rump of beef with oxtail pie, and spiced vegetable fritters, garlic lentils, tomatoes, and coriander sauce.The two-chocolate bavarois with orange sorbet can only be ignored with the greatest difficulty - why bother?

Rathos is fantastic and our favourite place to go whenever we can find an excuse to eat out, which is pretty often. The menu is imaginative and makes the most of what's in season, and it is cooked and presented beautifully. Last week I had the best rump steak I've ever tasted yet, and as usual the service was warm and friendly. I would agree that it can be a little slow, but it’s always worth the wait. I highly recommend it.

I live in Falmouth and have been to Ratho several times. They have never let me down. The food is delicious, locally sourced and perfectly balanced. The wine list is good and reasonable. The dining room is elegant, stylish and relaxed. The staff are friendly and not smarmy! They can be a little slow as everything is cooked to order.
