REVIEWS OF Ravi Shankar Restaurant

Rachna (11 October 2011)

Visited recently and really liked it. One of the few Indian places in that is true to Indian styles of cooking and serving, and thankfully leaves out the 'Raj' style decor. The restaurant has a very casual atmosphere - simple seating, simple music - refreshing! We had three separate types of dishes, bhel-puri from the Bombay area, a South Indian dosa, and a Thali. They were all very well done though the first two were my favourites... when I tasted the bhel I could almost imagine myself eating bhel at a stall in a busy Indian market on a hot day (you have to have experienced it to understand). If I would change anything, the waiters could be a little eager to serve, but guess that is just part of the Indian experience ;-)
