Sarah and Mel provide very good food in a separate oak-framed restaurant, away from the bar. Starters are between £4 and £6, with a good variety on offer. Mains are between about £10 and £14, depending on the current menu (which changes according to what's available. Sarah doesn't do "boil in the bag" but freshly cooked food from excellent ingredients. I have only managed to eat three courses once - as a challenge ! Puddings are also around £4 to £5, and as far as I can see offer good choices. There are special events such as "Ladies Nights" and "Jazz Nights". I've been a number of times, and never been less than delighted with the food.
