Red Mezze
34-36 Leazes Parl Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 4PG
Turkish cuisine has taken over this stylish restaurant which encourages you to while away your time from afternoon to sundown in the company of family and friends. Prime cuts of halal meat are cooked over charcoal barbeques for the traditional flavour and the mezze, small plates of delicacies, great for sharing, are just two reasons why patrons find it very easy to root themselves there. Among the mezze you can try humus, puree of chick peas blended in sesame seed paste, lemon juice and garlic and muska boregi, a deep fried filo pastry filled with feta cheese and parsley. For starters order adana, minced lamb blended with herbs, red peppers and spices formed on skewers and char-grilled.Turkish cuisine has taken over this stylish restaurant which encourages you to while away your time from afternoon to sundown in the company of family and friends. REVIEWS OF Red Mezze
Mr and Mrs Normand (22 April 2011)
Wow! We love to eat out and have been to many restaurants, but none as good as this. The food is truly exquisite. We talked about it all the way home and can't wait to go back for my birthday. I would like to recommend it to Gordon Ramsey. It should be recognised and awarded. The prices were great and food outstanding!

Fantastic food! I had been a few times to this restaurant and every time the food has been delicious. I would definitely recommend.
