Red Peppers - Teddington

Initial impressions - we were led to a table by the kitchen and the smell of fish was quite overwhelming. I asked to move and we were told we could sit by a fire exit where no one else was sitting - so we opted for the lesser of the two evils. My boyfriend had a ledge sticking in his face, anyway we ordered some drinks, and the wine wasn't bad, exceptionally average and the garlic pizza we ordered for starters were fine, even though it had Sacla pesto covering it and had obviously been frozen. The best part of the eve was when the waiter brought over the food - my burger was steaming hot as if it had just come out of the microwave, it had, the bun was stale and the salad limp. Graham's food was a few potatoes left over from Sunday, it is Friday today, with some naff spongy sausages covered in Tuscan bean soup. On tasting my burger I realised it was a Bird’s Eye burger that bounced like a mattress when chewed! The chips were cold and hard. When we brought it to the manager’s notice he said 'but the burgers were defrosted this morning'? I was openly shocked, he then tired to backtrack and say he meant the kids burgers and we had to pay for our drinks. I’m never going back.
