Red Room, The

Open for more than five years now, and therefore well established, the Red Room is a bar/bistro in the centre of Richmond, close to the cinema and shops; it has an atmosphere that is both cosy and friendly, which makes it very popular with the locals.

The food is best described as Modern European, with a touch of the French about it, and, as well as the a la carte menu, they have a two course fixed price lunch at £10, there is also a £12 one in the evening, pre 7pm, offered on Tuesday through to Friday and Sunday offering excellent value.

Tempting choices on the menu might include chicken liver parfait, apple chutney, walnut toasts or mini spiced lamb kebabs with minted yoghurt to start, followed by linguine with garlic tiger prawns, chilli, basil and lemon or pesto crusted fillet of hake, spring onion mash, pea puree.
