Part of the Rushmore Group, Redhook in Turnmill Street in the City is the archetypal stylish eating establishment to be found in these parts. An old drill hall and warehouse, with exposed brickwork and low hanging lightshades, houses a 70-seat dining room with a view that looks out onto St John's Gardens. Seafood holds pride of place with an array of prawns, Canadian lobster, diver scallops, halibut and pollock. Of course, by no means overlook the oyster bar promising a variety of fruits de mer. Surf and Turf, a choice of Scottish ribeye steak with crayfish, NY striploin with lobster and Australian wagyu fillet with Madagascar prawn, occupies centre stage. The pasta selection includes of walnut and gorgonzola tortellini and Cornish crab linguini. A French cheese board and assorted desserts complete the picture.
