Renaissance Restaurant Description

If you're shopping in Shrewsbury town centre you will not have to travel far to enjoy a meal of tasty modern British food in a friendly atmosphere; only minutes from the shopping area and the Music Hall, the family run Renaissance Restaurant welcomes customers into its comfortable and quiet interior.

Visit them for morning coffee, to take a break while shopping, or for a pre or post-theatre meal. The Georgian dining rooms and bar offer dishes all created using locally sourced produce and show the full flavour of traditional English culinary skills.

A six course evening menu presents diners with a choice of slightly smaller meat, fish and vegetarian dishes that can be interchanged to cater for most people’s tastes. Choices may include chicken liver and pheasant pâté; beef casserole in red wine; salmon and king prawn pancakes with watercress sauce, and butternut squash and tomato risotto glazed with melted cheese. Dessert could be spiced poached pear with almond ice cream.

The restaurant also offers hot and frozen takeaways.
