Restaurant 109 Description
This friendly restaurant near Richmond Station on Kew Road is vibrant and colourful, bringing a delicious repertoire of modern European and British dishes for even the most discerning food lover. Paintings by a local artist cover the walls and add to the homey décor that is accentuated by the warm welcome from the staff. The menu at Restaurant 109 is varied, bringing together traditional and contemporary elements with ease, excelling in execution and presentation.
Starters could include Thai crab and salmon fish cake with salad and chilli sauce or filo wrapped Moroccan spiced pigeons with spring onions. Follow it with a main course of confit of duck leg with chorizo and puy lentils and onion jus or pork belly slow roasted with savoy cabbage and sauté potatoes. Desserts include a banoffee pie or an interesting assortment of desserts such as vodka jelly and chocolate truffle.

What a lovely little place! We went there after reading great reviews and weren't disappointed. It’s a nice mix of modern food - a bit of fish, spice, something for the vegetarians and a good wine list. This was topped off by the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend starting with the set menu then exploring from there. We'll be going back.

This is my favourite restaurant in London. I've eaten at Restaurant 109 several times. The food and service is always exceptional. In addition to the bug tails, they sometimes have other fabulous offerings on special (like the grilled white tuna salad - oh, yum!) and their regular menu is also wonderful...down to the more traditional steak and chips. Also, their wine selection is quite good and reasonable.
