We first went to the restaurant a few weeks ago on a Friday evening, following a recommendation from a neighbour. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. The portions are just the right size. The menu was varied and contained recognisable dishes but with a twist. It’ probably the best meal out we have experienced for some time.
We followed that with a Sunday lunchtime visit with a family group to celebrate a birthday and the dinner was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The restaurant is not large, but being in an old building the atmosphere is warm and cosy. My father is in a wheelchair and for the family lunch we were able to get him in. The selection of wines is good, and we found the house wine enjoyable and kept to it. We would certainly recommend the restaurant for a fine dining experience at a reasonable cost.
