On Friday in February 2011, my wife and I recently travelled up to Edinburgh from North Wales and stayed the weekend in 21212. We were both delighted with the excellent and very comfortable bedrooms and luxurious surroundings - it was literally a case of having ‘died and gone to heaven’ experience - sheer indulgence! The restaurant is out of this world. The food is first class and well deserves the Michelin Star, which it has been awarded. The staff are ever so friendly and polite - and Paul Kitching, the head chef is such a vibrant character and ever so friendly. Both my wife and I felt so sad to leave the place on Sunday afternoon but, rest assured we will definitely return here. Why is it called 2.1.2.1.2 - it should be called 10.10.10.10.10. Thank you ever so much to all of the staff - we both thoroughly enjoyed your excellent cuisine and comfortable surroundings.

I had the best meal ever at Restaurant 21212. I think this restaurant is out of this world; no actually it does belong to Edinburgh as it’s such a change to any other in the capital. The choice of two starters, one soup, two mains, one cheese and two sweets give you a chance to try freshly cooked food with a subtle difference, it’s just wonderful to try it, £60 for the five courses, but lunch is less at £20. I had an extraordinary meal there last week and loved every bit of it. I will be back soon as I just have to stay over in their bedrooms.
