A family owned hotel sitting proudly amongst the Victorian architecture of the promenade offering simple good taste and comfort with very recognisable dishes amongst which guests will feel pleasantly familiar. There are few flights of fancy and service is homely. House wine at £9.

I was told that this was the best hotel in Aberystwyth, with the finest kitchen in Mid Wales but it was disappointing. The menus were appealing but when the food arrived it was not just disappointing, it was unpleasant. The staff were the only saving grace. They probably know it's bad but they do their best to make you feel happy.

Fantastic place! I cannot disagree more with the previous reviewer. I have been to the Belle Vue many times, enjoying both the restaurant and bar menus, the wonderful surroundings and the fantastic service. I would recommend in particular the Chicken Ballotine.
