On a day's trip to the Heart of Wales line, we stopped off at Llandeilo because we'd never been there before. Just on time to fit in a good lunch before we caught the train back we spotted The Cawdor. The immediate impression was one of good service and a promise of good food. It lived up to its promise - an excellent lunch, well cooked and well served. If only it was a little closer to home.

Went back from Bridgend for a second time on my birthday for a three course lunch at £15 - wasn't disappointed - excellent food, good value and service and will definitely return for another visit.
