If all your life has been dedicated towards finding a duck's nest grate, look no further. Surrounded by a handsome Adam fireplace it graces the dining room of this 15th century (about 1465 to be imprecise) thatched house, three miles west of Bridport on the A35.
Run with great élan by Anna Dunn, assisted by an often business- absent husband, the restaurant holds an AA Rosette and produces food well in accordance with the expectations of that award. A globe-trotting wine list offers sensible choices and the house wine comes in at £10.95.
