This former 18th century farmhouse has been converted into a range of comfortable rooms to let with a restaurant attached. There is no pretension to grandeur here - the menu and presentation is homely and comfortable, offering food that satisfies and nourishes rather than titillates. There is an air of relaxed jollity about.

I have just returned from lunching at Crouchers with the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. My husband and I thought it was one of the best meals we have had for some time; well done. We thought it would be nice to visit on a spring-summer day for lunch, and look forward to it.

I am a regular customer at Croucher’s Restaurant, possibly the finest cuisine we have eaten and we are very fussy. I held my wedding reception, canapés and champagne then a full menu in the courtyard gardens and adjoining restaurant and it was magnificent. The rooms for an overnight stay are comfortable and cosy. The ambience and service make it a truly special place to dine, the cuisine is always impressive. My husband eats like a horse usually yet has commented on several occasions that the flavours and quality of the food are so filling he finds it difficult to make it to dessert but he forces himself of course.
