Formerly the East Lodge to the Duke of Rutland's seat at Haddon Hall, this romantic house has taken on a new persona as one of the most attractive and welcoming small hotels in the area. As well as the splendidly indulgent Derbyshire cream teas and Sunday lunches the restaurant offers a good range of traditional and well-prepared dishes at dinner. Light lunches are also available and there is a comprehensive wine list with house wine at £10.95.
