In the charming market town of Chipping Campden, where most places can be reached on foot, the Eight Bells is just minutes away from the town square. This fourteenth century pub accommodated the stone masons who built the church and later became a home for the tower's bells. Today it is a delightful inn also, where you can stay in any of the well furnished seven rooms or simply enjoy a good meal in their restaurant. This is a lovely pub but the roast beef dinner was very poor quality when we visited on Sunday. Even the Yorkshire pudding was hard - not the quality food we expected.
