Restaurant at Horsted Place Hotel Description
A fine example of Gothic revivalist architecture, owing much to Augustus Pugin and dating from 1850. Lord and Lady Nevill bought the house in 1965 and it was a favourite place for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Nowadays a truly refined dining experience awaits less exalted, but just as appreciative, guests.

We had our wedding reception at Horsted Place on 3rd March 2007. It was a breath-taking experience. We had a wonderful roasted tomato soup to start with (my idea despite being a dangerous choice - red soup and an ivory wedding dress?) followed by the most exquisite guineafowl and then hot chocolate fondant. It was without doubt the finest meal of our lives. The presentation, flavours, textures, simply divine! Our guests were overwhelmed by the quality of the food, wine and service including those who regularly eat at the finest restaurants in the world. I struggle to find adequate words to describe both the stunning surroundings or the restaurant, I am looking forward to going back regularly.
